ADIafrica Strengthens Partnerships at US-Nigeria Roundtable on Food Security and Safety

The recently concluded US-Nigeria Roundtable Conference on Food Security and Safety, held on 7th October 2024 in Abuja, brought together some of the most influential minds in agriculture and governance to tackle the pressing challenges of food security and sustainability.

In attendance were the ADIafrica team, alongside Prof. Bello Zaki Abubakar, Director of Extension at the Agriculture Research Council of Nigeria; Dr. Henry E. Emejuo, Director General/CEO of the Pan African Association of Small Medium Industries (PAOSMI); and members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF). Together, these leaders engaged in critical discussions on collaboration and driving innovations in agriculture to ensure a sustainable food system for Africa.

The roundtable offered a platform for experts to exchange ideas and strategies for addressing food insecurity, promoting agricultural value chains, and strengthening safety protocols in food production. ADIafrica’s presence reinforced its commitment to driving environmental sustainability and socio-economic development across the continent.

The event also served as a prelude to ADIafrica’s upcoming 2nd International Summit on Sustainable World Food Security System and Environmental Sustainability, scheduled for November 25th–27th, 2024. The conference will expand on the themes discussed, providing a broader scope for stakeholders from Africa and beyond to share insights and experiences.

This group photograph captures not just the unity of purpose but also the determination to collaborate for a food-secure Africa. As ADIafrica continues to foster meaningful partnerships, the outcomes of these engagements promise a brighter future for agriculture and public health across the region.
